At 10:00 am Saturday, March 16th, 2024, five of our subdeacons were ordained to the diaconate in the Chapel of Sts. Peter and Paul at Our Lady of Guadalupe Seminary.

Subdiaconate Ordination: February 11th, 2023
At 10am Central Time, Saturday, February 11, 2023, we will be blessed to witness the ordination of eleven of our seminarians to the order of the subdiaconate. The officiating celebrant will be His Excellency, Bishop Emeritus Fabian Bruskewitz, whom we thank for assisting us again. The ordination will take place in the Chapel of Saints Peter and Paul at Our Lady of Guadalupe Seminary in Denton, NE. Due to the size of the chapel, the event will only be open to the specifically invited family and friends of the ordinandi. Please pray for these men as they take this important step toward the sacred priesthood.

Subdiaconate: February 6, 2021
We were blessed to have Archbishop Cordileone ordain eight men to the Subdiaconate on February 6, at Saints Peter and Paul Chapel at Our Lady of Guadalupe Seminary. These men have signified their full embracing of the sacred ministry by stepping forward in the presence of the Archbishop, the successor of the Apostles, and Christ’s representative. The Subdeacons have answered Christ’s call and have left everything to follow Him. They have said “yes” to their vocation. They will be ordained to the Diaconate in just over a month. Please keep them in your prayers!
Subdiaconate Ordinations: February 8, 2020
The Seminary and the entire Fraternity rejoices at the ordination of seven men to the Subdiaconate on February 8th by His Excellency Bishop Fabian Bruskewitz, Bishop Emeritus of Lincoln. The ceremony is truly the first big step that these young men take towards the priesthood; in fact, the ceremonies of the Church make this spiritual step explicit by the bishop’s call to the candidates to take a step forward if they are willing to dedicate their lives to the Church. Immediately after making this step, the ordinandi prostrate for the recitation of the litany of the Saints, in which all those present kneel and beseech the heavenly assembly to pray that these men be faithful in the service of God.

Subdiaconate Ordinations: February 9, 2019
We give thanks to God for the ordination of nine men to the Subdiaconate on Saturday, February 9, 2019. His Excellency, Robert Finn, Bishop Emeritus of the diocese of Kansas City-St. Joseph, came to Our Lady of Guadalupe Seminary to ordain the men in a Solemn Pontifical Mass.
Seven men were ordained subdeacons for the Fraternity of St. Peter and two for the Sons of the Most Holy Redeemer, from Papa Stronsay, Scotland.
Please pray for these men as they continue in their formation for the Holy Priesthood of Our Lord and in particular as they prepare to be ordained deacons on March 30, 2019.
