After gathering in Nebraska for a few days of recollection in a nearby retreat center, many of the Fraternity of St. Peter’s North American district priests drove over to the seminary on Wednesday afternoon, Oct 10, to play sports with the seminarians and then to have Vespers and dinner together. After dinner, seminarians were able to have time to talk to the priests and hear about their work in the apostolate.
These meetings are a great opportunity for the seminarians to meet the priests of the district and to build up fraternity among the members of the FSSP.

Seminarians traveled out to Denver, Colorado over the weekend of St. Michael’s Feast Day where they were warmly welcomed by the priests and parishioners of the Priestly Fraternity of St. Peter’s apostolate there, Our Lady of Mt. Carmel.
On Saturday of that weekend, the seminarians went on a hike in the Colorado Rockies. Aside from providing a opportunity to take a short break from the class routine of seminary life, these seminary outings are a good way to foster fraternity among the seminarians as they enjoy the magnificent Colorado scenery in the mountains.
The next day, seminarians all attended the Sunday Sung Mass at the parish. The parish picnic was held then at a local park which provided a great atmosphere for the seminarians to get to know the people of the parish.
We wish to thank the priests and parishioners of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel for their generous hospitality and making a very enjoyable weekend possible.

After the design and construction of the new seminary organ made possible by several generous donations and especially the donation of Wacek family, Our Lady of Guadalupe Seminary invited His Excellency, Fabian Bruskewitz, Bishop Emeritus of the Diocese of Lincoln to come and bless the organ. To celebrate the occasion, the seminary invited out Stephan Tharp, a professional organist from New York City to give a concert to demonstrate the new organ’s capabilities.
The organ was constructed in Canada by the Juget-Sinclair Organbuilders from Montreal. After two years of design and construction, the organ was brought out to the seminary last February where the organ builders reassembled it in the seminary chapel. The organ will be a very important addition to the liturgical life of Our Lady of Guadalupe Seminary, and the priests and seminarians would like to express their deep gratitude to the donors that made the construction of the instrument possible. May God reward you!
